Bad Kitty

I'm lucky enough to get breakfast in bed most Sunday mornings, time to read a chapter or two over a good coffee :)

Usually I also share my space with one of our two fur-babies, Patch who always makes herself comfy at the end of the bed, but also eyeballs my bagel - must be the cream cheese lol.

This particular morning she had also snuggled under the blankie and her look was rather evil I felt, enough to make me keep my plate close at hand anyway!

This was my first page that I have played with my new Silhouette cutter, it took me a while to work it out, along with a few swear words when I lost everything but I eventually managed to make the circle frame with the kitty head incorporated. Hopefully I can remember what I did for next time!

Apart from that, it was quite a simple layout for me using mostly Snap! products, chipboard from WOW, Flair from Paper Vine and Heidi Swapp words.

The edging was just Versamark Ink with KaiserCraft stamps.

As always, thanks for looking, and feel free to comment...

Jandalz

This really is "Summer:Summarised"to me...from the time the frosts are finished until as long as I can stand it in the autumn I live in jandals (or flip flops fr my Aussie friends).

So I was greatly tickled when I saw this colourful fence at the campground at Little Waihi, and of course we made a contribution too!

I wanted to leave a bit more white space on this layout, only using a little yellow gelato to emphasise the sun. Most of the paper and embellies are from the Simple Stories Good Day Sunshine collection, along with WOW Chipboard and some freebies from Paper Fields (Bakers Twine and the doily).

As always, leave a comment if you like this, and feel free to follow me :) and thanks for looking!

Casey Binser - Duke of Ed Tramp

When the lovely Joanna from The Paper Teapot rang and asked if I would like to Guest Design this month I nearly freaked out - deadlines?? I can't do deadlines!! Especially when it was to be for Kaisercraft's new line Outdoor Trail, a hiking/fishing/hunting type paper, when I have 2 teenage daughters!!

Then I remembered that Breanna had recently been on a 2 night tramp on the Casey Binser track for her Silver Duke of Edinburgh award. Phew!

But actually when you look at the papers, there's plenty you can do with them, and cool stickers to go with the range too.

I also used one of my favourite Kaisercraft Crackle stamps in heavy gel which I coloured with GlimmerMist, and added Wow Chipboard and Prima wood to the mix.

Here's a closer look at the texture..

So thanks for giving me a push Joanna - and another page done (and with time to spare) and that's what it's all about :)

Pretty Leah

This is my cute little niece, she's a girly tomboy if there is such a thing??? We don't get to see her too often sadly but love to see how she's grown each time we do :)

It just happened that I'd bought this gorgeous My Minds Eye Jubilee paper just before I saw the August challenge on the 123 Challenge Blog , and even the photo overlay is also from MME but very old.
Here's the challenge

Couldn't have been more appropriate really!

Hope you like it, thanks for stopping by.

Dive Bomb

Summer may be a long way behind us here, but looking at these photos made me remember the heat of the day all over again...Jellie Park is a great place to cool off on a hot day.

Shiloh and Shanae spent a good time just lining up and jumping in again and again!
The layout is my take on the 15 August Stuck?! Sketch Challenge - perfect for this series of photos!

Here's the sketch..

I'm loving playing with different media at the moment - this one uses soft gloss gel, which I mixed with Gelatos for colour, plus Gesso.

I've also just found a new (to me anyway) challenge site frosted designs - which asked for chevrons - I've used a Kaisercraft chevron stamp and WOW chevron chipboard.
There are also some fantastic tutorials on this site :)

Some Bunny...

Onesies are just wonderful :) Bre has worn and worn this bunny one, purchased just in time for Easter last year.
The paper and die cuts are from Kaisercraft's Kaleidoscope Collection, Washi from Papervine, chipboard from WOW, medallion from American Crafts, enamel shapes from We R Memory Keepers and a Heidi Swapp word transparency. The large butterfly is a VERY old Prima one, and the camera is also from Prima.
I love the soft look of this layout, most of my more recent ones have been a lot brighter, and you know what they say about a change!

Netball

Its been a few weeks so here's the next instalment.

From Future Ferns when she was just little, up until the 2013 team (the last for Parklands Club) Shiloh has her Game Face on. The bottom jaw juts out and a look of determination comes to her eyes. Always played her hardest, sometimes even when her fingers were blue from the cold!

This page was done almost entirely using Kaisercraft's Game On collection. I love how it makes it so simple to put a sports page together! I still have tennis and swimming pages to go, so keep an eye out. I also used a little Heidi Swapp, and a Tim Holtz mask. Add a few sequins and a chipboard frame... and Voila!

Catchin' Crabs

Okay, so I'm trying to keep things going a bit quicker with my scrapping - don't know if it's going to stay that way though!

This is from a sketch I used from Stuck?! , of course by the time I faffed around the due date for the competition was over but at least it helped get something on the page! Also it's always amazing to see other peoples interpretation of sketches or challenges.

This my younger daughter Shiloh with her cousin Kieren, at Maketu in the Xmas holidays. They spent hours wandering around the estuary collecting interesting bits and pieces. He really didn't want to leave when it was time for them to go home that night! Even though there's a location separation they still love each other's company.

Talk about a mix of product on this page! There's a whole lot of American Crafts, some Simple Stories, PaperVine, and Prima. Some is what I've had in my stash for ages, other is hot off the shelf! Fun to do, and not toooo messy :)

Feelin' Blue...

I've been busting for a while to have play with Gelatos, and this is the result... I love playing with stamps too and this time it includes toilet rolls and jar lids! The grungy Kaiser stamps are very cool too.
This was on the last day of school for the year, Bre and her friends dyed their hair, but being blonde, hers was definitely the most noticeable! Since then she's also has pink and red washes, but I think this blue is still my fave

The First One...

So I've been thinking about starting a blog for a while but I'm a bit challenged in this area, so please forgive any mistakes!
I just want to share some of my scrapbook pages - this is my passion, I've been scrapping for around 13 years now, and things have changed drastically in that time. My first "real" page was Shiloh as a baby so I guess it's only fitting that my first post on here has her just starting her teens.
