Southern Selfies

As a Mum to 2 girls, finally I can do a boy layout!

I wasn't even tempted a little bit to put flowers on it ;)

This is my hard case little nephew Sam, along with his big sister Maddie and our girls, taken in Margaret and Phil's beautiful Invercargill garden. They'd just spent half an hour running madly after bubbles from a machine so red cheeks!

This was a really quick layout, using Cocoa Vanilla papers and ephemera plus my new ScrapFx title that I lurrrvve (available from The Paper Teapot here) and a few other bits and pieces from my stash.

Baby got Blue Eyes

This is my gorgeous little niece when she came to visit us recently - totally cracked us up with some of her comments!

I wanted to have a play around with the beautiful Blue Fern papers and embossing powders, using different techniques with the powders. I didn't come to scrapbooking from card making so I hadn't really had much of a play with them before, and discovered what an easy and effective way to colour things and add a bit of "pop".

I had you-tubed ways to use them - this is the link here . I tried them all out but didn't use all of them on this page - gotta save some fun for later!

  1. Stamped with Versamark Ink then embossed
  2. Applied Versamark to chipboard then embossed with one or more colours
  3. Embossed over double sided tape
  4. Mixed embossing powder with Prima Soft Gloss Gel and applied through a stencil (I think I would use 3D gel another time) and
  5.  Embossed over hot glue - this one is super cool!
I hope you have as much fun as I did trying things out - but will you get in as much mess as I did is the real question! :))

Toujours 2

I wanted to have another play with a page Finn-style after she visited here at the end of last year, and this is what I came up with - it was great to use some old things from my stash too!

Nearly everything on the page is by Prima, except the main papers which are by Kaisercraft.

Million Dollar Smile

The braces are off and the smile is worth the dollars :) Loving the purple hair too! ;)

This was a chance to try out the new Bazzill Basics Plastic Paper available at The Paper Teapot here ... Its kind of like using a more robust vellum, beautiful colours and translucent.

You can emboss it...
 Die Cut it....

Punch it, or roll it for flowers - sorry I didn't get a close up of those!

You can also run it through your Silhouette - on a slow setting, high with the blade to make a cute little Easter Bunny Box like this one..

I used mini glue dots to piece it together, you can't really see them, but otherwise you could use vellum tape or spray adhesive.

Other credits: Cocoa Vanilla Papers and embellies, Blue Fern chipboard title and Typo wood veneers.

Go on - have a play too!

Mind the Gap!

This photo was taken on Breanna's sixth birthday - just love the missing teeth grin! :))

This page came together really quickly with Cocoa Vanilla's Free Spirit range (available from The Paper Teapot here)- so many gorgeous bits and pieces to work with. I added some WOW chipboard, a Doodlebug doily, some Typo wood veneers and washi, and a Heidi Swapp word.

I still felt it needed something else so I swished on some Bo Bunny Glitter paste and outlined the circles with Kindyglitz.

The Best Days

This one is Shiloh with her buddy from school Fran. She came away on holiday with us to Nelson last year, and they both had so much fun, more time was spent on the water than on land I think!

This page uses all papers from Cocoa Vanilla's collection "Hello Sunshine", available from The Paper Teapot here, - and I love all the cute wee "woodies" that are included this time round! I also used a cut file from The Cut Shoppe, and a stencil and light paste from Prima (also available here from Joanna at The Paper Teapot).

Remember to comment if you like it, and feel free to share as well :)

Happy

This is an old photo that I just love so much, I had to do something special to scrap it. Both Breanna and Shiloh look like they love each other so much!

Nearly everything on this page had been in my stash for a long time, apart from the cut file from The Cut Shoppe which I changed a little, and the messy chipboard hearts from WoW.
The papers are all from American Crafts.

Just such a happy page!

It's a Good Day

Look at the size of these ice creams - they're a whole meal!

This was a stop at Darfield on the way out to a picnic in Glentunnel. We had been to this shop before, and we'll definitely be back again!

Another Cocoa Vanilla layout - hmm there seems to be a trend emerging - this time using the Life is Beautiful collection. Most of the collection is still available from The Paper Teapot here.
The only additions to that was the Silhouette cut file, and a hand dyed doily.

Don't forget to leave a comment and share it if you love it!

Make it Click!

Breanna first got involved with Ronald McDonald through her friend Laura and Dance teacher Hayley.

Initially she danced with them at the Teddy Bears Picnic for Summertimes, and then later in the year, Ronald was invited to the Queenspark school fair where a select few performed the Make it Click song and dance. Shiloh also joined in for this one as did Laura's little sister Brooke, Kennedy Moore and Rosie Griffioen.

I used up some October Afternoon paper, washi  and flair that I had in my stash for a while, plus two of my fave Tim Holtz stencils, a Freckled Fawn arrow, Mister Huey's mists, and a Maya Road camera clip.

If you like it, leave me a comment and also share :)

Infinite love

Just look at this hair colour - isn't it great??

Breanna's selfie showed it off so well :)

I love how this page turned out, using Prima and Limore Webber stamps; Tim Holtz and Montarga stencils; WOW chipboard; Pink Paislee frame; Papervine washi and enamel dots; The Paper Teapot flowers; Prima texture paste; Tim Holtz distress ink and Reeves watercolours.
