Baby got Blue Eyes

This is my gorgeous little niece when she came to visit us recently - totally cracked us up with some of her comments!

I wanted to have a play around with the beautiful Blue Fern papers and embossing powders, using different techniques with the powders. I didn't come to scrapbooking from card making so I hadn't really had much of a play with them before, and discovered what an easy and effective way to colour things and add a bit of "pop".

I had you-tubed ways to use them - this is the link here . I tried them all out but didn't use all of them on this page - gotta save some fun for later!

  1. Stamped with Versamark Ink then embossed
  2. Applied Versamark to chipboard then embossed with one or more colours
  3. Embossed over double sided tape
  4. Mixed embossing powder with Prima Soft Gloss Gel and applied through a stencil (I think I would use 3D gel another time) and
  5.  Embossed over hot glue - this one is super cool!
I hope you have as much fun as I did trying things out - but will you get in as much mess as I did is the real question! :))

Toujours 2

I wanted to have another play with a page Finn-style after she visited here at the end of last year, and this is what I came up with - it was great to use some old things from my stash too!

Nearly everything on the page is by Prima, except the main papers which are by Kaisercraft.

Infinite love

Just look at this hair colour - isn't it great??

Breanna's selfie showed it off so well :)

I love how this page turned out, using Prima and Limore Webber stamps; Tim Holtz and Montarga stencils; WOW chipboard; Pink Paislee frame; Papervine washi and enamel dots; The Paper Teapot flowers; Prima texture paste; Tim Holtz distress ink and Reeves watercolours.

What do you think? Don't forget to leave me a comment and share the post if you like it!

Together

This is another of the series of photos I took of Shiloh and her friend Shannon when we went to the Botanic Gardens a few months ago.
I love seeing the daffodils blooming - it means Spring is really here!

Yet another Cocoa Vanilla page - this is with the Life is Beautiful collection (available at The Paper Teapot), the extras are the little handmade doily flower, some flowers from The Paper Teapot,a paper doily, title from Heidi Swapp, and a bit of thread.

Having  the full collection to mix and match makes pages come together super easy!

Sweet Child o' Mine

Well this is an old photo isn't it??

It was taken on Bre's birthday party in 2007 when Shiloh was 6 - she had set up a shop by the front door and wanted to sell things to Bre's friends as they arrived...what an entrepreneur!

I love love love Cocoa Vanilla - this is the Hello Lovely collection. It really didn't need much else apart from texture paste, a Green Tara flower a couple other flowers from The Paper Teapot and a chipboard fence.

Hello SunShine

Another page in mainly using the Hello Sunshine collection from Cocoa Vanilla - it's just so great for these sort of days!

This was just a hot summer day with nothing better to do - so I took the Shiloh and her friend Shanae out to the lake at Pegasus for a dip.

As well as the Cocoa Vanilla papers, flowers, puffy stickers, diecuts, wood veneers, and flair which are available at The Paper Teapot here, I also used a Heidi Swapp stamp, Doodlebug doily, Freckled Fawn arrow and an Amy Tan enamel heart. The hashtag and heart diecuts are from Kaisercraft.

As it I write this it's piddling down outside - just the right sort of weather to scrap sunny days!

Hope you like it - please share and comment if you do :)

A Family is a Gift....

Well the title of this page may be pretty cheesy, but the sentiment behind it is true.

We all got together for Bronwyn and Andy's wedding in 2010, it was a fabulous day at Markovina Vineyard, plenty of laughter, with the bonus of croquet and petanque onsite too.

Congratulations Br-Andy :)

This is also using Kaisercraft's Provincial papers for The Paper Teapot design team and collectables (available here), WOW chipboard, Prima packaging, thread, Maggie Holmes bow, Amy Tan mini doily, Cocoa Vanilla flair, Jillibean Soup wire word, Tim Holtz distress ink, Papervine washi, Scrapaholics self-adhesive Baroque tape and The Paper Teapot flowers.

If Friends were Flowers I'd pick you

It had been a long time since I'd been to the Botanic Gardens, so it was nice to get out for a bit one day with Shiloh and Shannon.

This is the latest layout I have just made for The Paper Teapot design team, its the new Provincial range from Kaisercraft - I decided to use the blue papers rather than the green, plus the Collectables. I also used both Dusty Attic and WOW chipboard; Kaisercraft and Bo Bunny stamps; a Kaisercraft stencil;Tim Holtz inks; Bo Bunny Glitter paste; Prima Crackle Paste, Micro-beads, doily and flowers; Cocoa Vanilla enamel dots;and also Green Tara flowers.

You can get this range from Joanna here.

Year 12 Formal

It's been a while hasn't it? I have loads of layouts to share with you!

Breanna was excited to go to her first formal with Aaron - so much planning! He even gave a corsage for her wrist - awww :)

This layout was made in a class designed by Sally-Anne Ashton  - lots of lovely soft colours, hand made flowers and pearls and using Kaisercraft Botanica.
