Another page for a Hip Kit weekly sketch challenge 😁

I just knew I wanted to use the Vicki Boutin acrylics for my background, and I stuck fairly close to the sketch for the rest...

Laugh Out Loud

This photo was taken at the start of our last holiday, down at the Marina at Waikawa Bay. The group of young people at the table next to us had been there drinking all afternoon, so were quite "merry". While we were there, first a pair of sunnies, then a cell phone went over the side of the wharf 😲

  I made this page at a recent crop day - I thought I really needed to use up my May 2017 Hip Kit before the 2018 one arrived! I also used a Paper Issues cut file, with Prima watercolours underneath.

One of the Family

I just love using these colours together, and the February Hip Kit provided the perfect papers and embellishments 💖
Distress oxides are amazing and so simple to use, one of my favourite techniques at the moment is to lay a cut file over mixed media blends...

And what a great combo of ephemera, stickers, puffys, and epoxy flowers, hearts, birds, and bugs also!

Sparkle Every Day

My Super cute little nephew Cohen was learning the intricacies of applying nail polish... don't think Dad was that impressed 😉

I made this page for a weekly Hip Kit sketch challenge in October, and I won! Yay! I used paper from the Pink Paislee Summer Lights collection, shimmer cubes and colourblast paste, plus ephemera from Maggie Homes Carousel collection with a turquoise star from Charm Creations.

Live More and Hey Mr Bird

So great to find a kit I really love! This one was from Shop & Crop Australia, and was made up mostly of a mix of Pinkfresh products. I also added some ephemera from the May Hip Kit.

This first layout was the most brilliant coloured parrot at Australia Zoo... 















And this one was when we stopped at the Cardrona Tavern last Xmas holidays. Definitely recommend a stop here 😋

Koala Love

I managed to get in close at Australia Zoo when we were over there earlier in the year - who doesn't love a cute Koala?

"Salty"seems to be a favourite term at the moment - especially when these two get together. They've known each other since they were very little, and are still good friends 💙

Just Goofing around

Finally getting on to some more of my Disney photos!

This is a DT project for the November Tic Tac Toe challenge at Scrap Our Stash...

I used the left hand column - the plaid is just peeking out 😉 I was trying for a simple vertical layout, but everything kind of exploded lol. I love all the stamping!

Hello Sunshine

Another photo of my cute niece Savarna (pre the self-haircut lol)

 

This is for the August sketch plus word challenge over at Scrap Our Stash

 The word is "Travel", and I used - 

T - Turquoise paint, tassle
R - Red, Resin flowers
A - American Crafts puffy stickers (they're SOOO cute!)
V - Vellum clouds
E - Echo Park Enamel dots
L - Little by Little Paper

This was also the first full layout I've done from my first ever Hip Kit  - Love them! 💓

 

Together - the best place to be

For Mother's Day this year we were in Auckland and I got this lovely photo of my sister in law and my niece. From six children Bronnie is the only girl 😁

I played along with Stuck?! Sketches here's the sketch for the second part of the month...

Most of the items used were from the May Hip Kit Club, plus one of my favourite hearts from Charm Creations.

No Smile

Hi, today I'm sharing this layout of my gorgeous little great niece Imogen. She was so smiley but as soon as the camera came out the smile disappeared lol.

This is for the current challenge at Stuck?! sketches...

...and uses Paige Evans Take Me Away paper - I love that it almost seems like there are two different ranges within one - one with these beautiful warm colours, and the other with lovely natural soft colours. I used watercolours in the background - my first real go at it - and I love how it ended up looking :). Of course my Nuvos made an appearance once again lol!

Golden Days - Hello Santa

While Shiloh is too old now for Santa, she's still quite happy to get a photo as long as it's with one of her friends. This one's from Xmas 2013.

I love this blingy Kaisercraft range - A Touch of Gold, and it doesn't need to be just for Xmas either.

For this page the only extras were a Maggie Holmes bow and doily, plus a small gold star.

A Family is a Gift....

Well the title of this page may be pretty cheesy, but the sentiment behind it is true.

 

We all got together for Bronwyn and Andy's wedding in 2010, it was a fabulous day at Markovina Vineyard, plenty of laughter, with the bonus of croquet and petanque onsite too.

 

Congratulations Br-Andy :)

 

 

This is also using Kaisercraft's Provincial papers for The Paper Teapot design team and collectables (available here), WOW chipboard, Prima packaging, thread, Maggie Holmes bow, Amy Tan mini doily, Cocoa Vanilla flair, Jillibean Soup wire word, Tim Holtz distress ink, Papervine washi, Scrapaholics self-adhesive Baroque tape and The Paper Teapot flowers.

My Girls

This photo make me laugh - it's from a photo shoot before one of Breanna's birthdays...the classic "Yes we'll hug each other for the photo, but we can't get too close!"

 

This is Simple Stories So Fancy, most of the decoration is already in the paper which makes it so easy! I also used the matching Washi Tape and stickers.

 

Apart from that, I also used Prima Spray and flowers; Maggie Holmes bow and chipboard; WOW and Imaginarium chipboard; Creativ doilies and Cocoa Vanilla sequins.

Better the Devil we know...

We don't really celebrate Halloween, especially as it's also Marks birthday but last year the girls all got together to go Trick or Treating and were right into it.

 

 

I used Amy Tan patterned paper, Papervine Washi Tape, Stickles, Glimmermist, Kaisercraft Stamps: Jolee's Boutique embellies and Jillibean soup wood veneers, plus a Maggie Holmes doily.

 

The sketch was an old one from Sketchablities.
