SuperStar

Hey there scrappy friends!
I have another scrapbook layout for you today, sticking with my favourite things for now - Colour Artist Inks,  Colour Paste and Colour Embossing Powder, plus a cameo appearance at the end by a Shimmer Brush Marker 😍💖

Here's the finished page...

I wasn't quite sure where I was heading when I first started out with this one, it changed quite a bit mid-stream!

To start with, I laid some Colour Artist Ink in Lime on my tile, I did it like this as I wanted to use my brayer to start with rather than a brush.

This is what it looked like initially...

I then repeated this step with Colour Artist Ink in Oasis.

To give it a bit of depth, I splattered some Colour Artist Ink in Marine. I also stamped the stars with a slightly watered down version of this.

I used a Tim Holtz stencil and Colour Paste in Just Blue to add a few highlights around the edges where the cut file would go.

Once I looked at how the Paige Evans cut file would sit on the page, I decided it needed some darker colour underneath it, so I added some more Marine. (The papers that I backed the cut file with are all Boys Rule by Cocoa Vanilla)

I used Colour Embossing Powders in Envy, Deep Water and a touch of Bling on my chipboard. One of the chipboard pieces was already white, but one of the others I primed with White Heavy Gesso to give a clearer colour.

It was finally time to actually start gluing things down!!
Apart from some ephemera and a flair from Cocoa Vanilla plus the chipboard, I also used a Charm Creation Star, punchinella and lots of gold and blue thread.

I highlighted some of the stamped stars with black and white paint pens.
At this stage I thought I had finished, but ended up lightly running the gold Shimmer Brush Marker around the edge of the page, and tapped a few splatters of that also.

Some close ups for you....

So many different ways to use these great products! Go try something new today 😀

Be fabulous

My gorgeous little great-niece Leah actually looking quite girly for a change!!

I used Sketchabilities #146 for this, changing 2 of the photos over to Pink Paislee quotes.
I used Distress Oxides under my  Just Nick die cut rather than using paper to back it - one of my favourite techniques at the moment 💓

The title and stars Shimelles Glitter Girl and added just enough bling!

One of the Family

I just love using these colours together, and the February Hip Kit provided the perfect papers and embellishments 💖
Distress oxides are amazing and so simple to use, one of my favourite techniques at the moment is to lay a cut file over mixed media blends...
And what a great combo of ephemera, stickers, puffys, and epoxy flowers, hearts, birds, and bugs also!

This is the full layout...

which is a blend of these 2 sketches for the March challenge at Scrap Our Stash 😄

Peace Out

I don't think this is the first time I've scrapped this photo, but it just makes me so happy!

This was for a DT assignment for the new challenges...

I found this a bit of a challenge to be honest - but then again, they're supposed to be! I guess it'll get easier the more I do 😉
From the first sketch I used the idea of a semi circle (the shape of the flower garland) with the title around it, and from the second sketch I used the larger square (photo) and 3 smaller ones (the banner).
I also used flower rhinestones between the banner flags, and in each corner.

I used a mix of Shimmerz and Prima watercolours for the background, and most of the paper and embellies were from the September 17 Hip Kit. I love those little suede bows and all the Paige Evans paper and ephemera 😍

Awesome (again!)

Two "awesome" pages in a row lol.

This was taken at the same time as some of the other photos I've shared recently, it was the first time Shiloh had seen her little cuz for a long time 💓

I used a Paige Evans cut file, and the September Hip Kit, along with a Charm Creation chevron and tab.

I was super pleased with the way this one came out!

Young Wild & Free

This was taken when these 4 girls last got together back in July, up in Hanmer. They may not see each other that often, but when they do it's just as if they've never been apart.

This layout was made for the January Tic Tac Toe challenge at Scrap Our Stash.

Here's the challenge...

I used the bottom row - twine (on the button and tag), paper clips (gorgeous Paige Evans ones) and the colour blue (in the denim of ribbon and also in the background.

The background papers are also Paige Evans, the flair and woodie are from Cocoa Vanilla, the chipboard is from WOW, and the stickers are Simple Stories. I used Prima Watercolour pastels for the background, Tim Holtz crayons on the flower and there's also a 49 & Market stamp. The title is a Kaisercraft die.

I'm so happy with the way this one turned out!

Love This and Hello

These pages were done at a recent retreat, in a class taken by the gorgeous Belinda Leen . So simple to do but so effective!

The first one is of Shiloh and her friend Taylor when we stopped at the Darfield dairy recently. I've featured these ice creams on layouts before - they're HUGE!

And the second one is at SeaWorld in San Diego, a super hot day...

Loved doing these, very happy with the results, thanks Bee!

No Smile

Hi, today I'm sharing this layout of my gorgeous little great niece Imogen. She was so smiley but as soon as the camera came out the smile disappeared lol.

This is for the current challenge at Stuck?! sketches...
...and uses Paige Evans Take Me Away paper - I love that it almost seems like there are two different ranges within one - one with these beautiful warm colours, and the other with lovely natural soft colours. I used watercolours in the background - my first real go at it - and I love how it ended up looking :). Of course my Nuvos made an appearance once again lol!

Thanks for looking!
