Colour Blast Australia - It takes Sunshine and Rain

Today I have what looks like a relatively clean page, but in reality there are a rainbow of  Colour Artist Inks in behind the cut file.

This cut file is available through Paper Issues (Stitching Heart Burst).

Once I had cut the file, I used embroidery thread in rainbow colours to stitch the lines that radiate out from the centre

I then lined the cut file up with the second layer of card and drew some guidelines so I knew where to paint...

I used Colour Artist Inks in this order to create the rainbow

I could then put the cut file back on top for this awesome look 💓

I spattered a little of each ink again on the top layer, which you can see in these close ups..
I also used Colour Artist Ink in Grass to stain the wooden leaf.

Here's the finished layout - just a few Pretty Little Studio embellies with the photo and calling it done!

Just a change from some of the more grungier pages I have been doing lately - hope you like it!

Laugh Out Loud

This was down at the Waikawa Bay waterfront near Picton, at the start of our holiday in January this year. It was a beautiful night, and not spoilt by the "party" at the table next to us, even if they did drop both sunglasses and a phone over the side of the wharf, and later vomited 😬 At least we weren't eating when that happened! An eventful night lol.

I wanted to try and kill my May 2017 Hip Kit before the 2018 version arrived, but although I did used quite a bit, there is STILL some left!

I used my current fave technique of semi random washes of colour under cut files. This is a great free file from Paper Issues.

Laugh Out Loud

This photo was taken at the start of our last holiday, down at the Marina at Waikawa Bay. The group of young people at the table next to us had been there drinking all afternoon, so were quite "merry". While we were there, first a pair of sunnies, then a cell phone went over the side of the wharf 😲

I made this page at a recent crop day - I thought I really needed to use up my May 2017 Hip Kit before the 2018 one arrived! I also used a Paper Issues cut file, with Prima watercolours underneath.

Margarita-ville

Joanna and I found the yummiest Margaritas at a Mexican restaurant on the South Bank in Brisbane. They had every flavour under the sun, and we "tried" to sample them all, but we would have had to crawl back to the apartment after lol!

I made this DT page for The Paper Teapot monthly challenge, which was to scrap about food or drink. What a hard challenge lol.
I used Distress Oxides on the background with Colourblast paste, and mostly Bella Blvd paper and embellies. I do love the hex cut filefrom Paper Issues, and of course I had to add a charm emoji 😍

Miss Mess

My niece Immy is growing up so fast - last time I saw her she wasn't even crawling, and now she just runs everywhere! She's such a cruisey kid though, nothing fazes her 😊

This page was made for the Scrap Our Stash April Tic Tac Toe challenge,
I used the middle horizontal line - Stitching/flowers/ephemera - not much of a challenge as I use those on most of my pages anyway lol

Happy Scrappin'!

Sparkle and Shine

This page was done specifically for The Paper Teapot's challenge to document something special to me, and I chose the amethyst ring that my Auntie Mollie left me, which I had always admired. It's also my birthstone.
My cousin gave it to me at a wedding some months later and I couldn't stop blubbing for ages!
She was such a special lady, with a wicked sense of humour and I miss her heaps still.
Here's the page....

I have used a Cocoa Vanilla Make A Wish collection and a free cut file from Paper Issues plus a new heart from Charm Creations.

But the new thing I tried out and love love love is the Fineline masking fluid available from Joanna here, which I used in conjunction with the Tim Holtz Distress crayons available here  - they complement each other so well!!

Thanks for taking a look!

Ho Ho Ho

And another Xmas layout - I'm on a roll!

This one is our Santa shot from 2012 - note Shiloh plus friend Shannon, no possibility of getting the sisters together for this any more!

I've used brads to make string art again, I love the look this gives!
The watercolour background, tree and prezzies are all done with Tim Holtz Distress crayons, and the paper and stickers are Oh Joy (AGAIN!) fro Pinkfresh. I don't have much of this left now!  Good old Bo Bunny Glitter Paste makes a return with the stencilling, and the cut file is from Paper Issues.
