Magenta Hair - Dont Care

Bre is just like her Mum - I also remember dressing as Magenta, hers was to go to a Halloween party, and she even convinced her boyfriend at the time, Aaron, to dress as Riff Raff 😜

This is my last layout for the Scrap Our Stash Design Team, I'm sad to leave these lovely people but it's time to let someone else have a go, and to do something new myself also!

Here's the blend a sketch challenge...

I added the vertical element from the right sketch with Colourblast inks, and I also used the title placement from here. I used the photo size and placement from the left hand sketch. The stars are from Charm Creations - I just love them

21 Renfrew Street

I found this great photo of the first house I lived in, my Dad built it straight after the war when size and material restrictions were still in place. So many memories of that place (both good and bad!) Sleepin in Mum and Dads room when I was sick, finding Santa presents under the bed in the spare room (oops) the toilet that the night cart used to pick up out in the outdoor wash house, and the yummy gooseberries growing out the back.

This page was also from the May kit from The Paper Teapot, along with a cut file from the Hip Kit which I coloured with Artist Inks from Colourblast Australia.

XO

Just a quick page with my gorgeous little niece Leah πŸ’–
This was my 3rd layout from the May kit from The Paper Teapot, using lots of Pink Paislee and Bella Blvd, with a Cocoa Vanilla cut file.

Stay Magical

My brother and his wife are pretty much game to try anything  - these were their outfits for the June 2016 World Cup Darts in Auckland.

This page was a partial scraplift (ashersmiles.com), I loved that the paper was torn into strips and reassembled and sewn. I used Pink Paislee paper, journal cards, rub ons and stickers, Bella Blvd diecuts, Neat and Tangled sequins, and Dear Lizzy glitter die cuts - all from the May kit from The Paper Teapot.

I also used gesso, Ranger ink and Colourblast paste on the background.

Cheers Ears!

Its great to catch up with old friends, especially after they move away πŸ’— (Miss you Lisa!)
We caught up in Albany along with Shiloh, Jenna and Connor, yummy mexican food and margaritas 🍸🍸🍸

This page is from The Paper Teapot May 18 kit - OMG, so many cool things! The instructions for this page are included if you buy it - just the main kit needed, but so many more things if you include the embellie kit too... (get it here)

Margarita-ville

Joanna and I found the yummiest Margaritas at a Mexican restaurant on the South Bank in Brisbane. They had every flavour under the sun, and we "tried" to sample them all, but we would have had to crawl back to the apartment after lol!

I made this DT page for The Paper Teapot monthly challenge, which was to scrap about food or drink. What a hard challenge lol.
I used Distress Oxides on the background with Colourblast paste, and mostly Bella Blvd paper and embellies. I do love the hex cut filefrom Paper Issues, and of course I had to add a charm emoji 😍

You Little Ripper

Somehow or other this page got missed out 😒

My nephew Zavier plays Ripper rugby, the pre-cursor to the real thing...they all look so cute running around trying to get the ball in a big group rather than spreading out lol

This was an experimental page - using masking fluid and watercolours.
I also used Cocoa Vanilla You Rock, loads of washi tape (for the border) and Nuvo Mousse.

Have a great day!

Sparkle and Shine

Yay - some older photos scrapped πŸ˜‰
This is my elder daughter with one of her good friends, who has now moved away...but whenever we see each other they still have a blast.
I made this for the October Colourblast challenge, which was to use triangles - I think this fits the bill, don't you?
As well as Colour paste, I also used shimmer cubes for the background.
The papers, ephemera and frames are all from Cocoa Vanilla's Wild at Heart collection, and the acrylic words are from Bella Blvd.

Spring in the City

I pass this magnificent magnolia tree on my way to work most mornings, and in the spring when it flowers it's just glorious πŸ’—πŸ’—πŸ’—

I used the June Hip Kit for this page, and inspiration from Terhi Koskinen, I was feeling a bit flat before I started but now have my mojo back firmly in place!

Sparkle and Shine

I made this page for the October challenge over at Colourblast Australia - I love the bright colours they have in all sorts of different media.

The theme for this month was triangles - can you pick that???πŸ˜›

As well ast the fabulous Colourblast Colour Pastes and Shimmer cubes, I also used Cocoa Vanilla Wild at Heart papers and flair, Bella Blvd acrylic words and a Kaisercraft stencil.
I nearly went crosseyed with the hand stitching lol.

Together - the best place to be

For Mother's Day this year we were in Auckland and I got this lovely photo of my sister in law and my niece. From six children Bronnie is the only girl 😁

I played along with Stuck?! Sketches here's the sketch for the second part of the month...

Most of the items used were from the May Hip Kit Club, plus one of my favourite hearts from Charm Creations.

Thanks for looking!

Gotta Laugh

Bre has gotten to be good mates with Coopah - partly because she lives so close to us  - but also because they have a lot in common. Coopah came up to Auckland with Bre to see Panic at the Disco, and she wasn't even going to see Guns n Roses with us but we convinced her it was the right thing to do πŸ˜† This photo was at Bethells Beach - a great wee spot πŸ’—

The page is for the Scrap Our Stash sketch challenge...

And the stash word to be used  is "Mother ".

I chose
M-My Minds Eye (the enamel dots and glasses)
O-Orange
T-Tissue, thread
H-Heart
E-Enamel Dots, Ephemera
R-Rubber Banner

This is all from the Cocoa Vanilla Wild at Heart range - available here

Be Impossible to Forget

My Hundredth post!!!

Well really - who could forget these characters??

And how many times would you get invited to a "Psychedelic Porn Party" ???

(My advice is don't google it to work out what to wear πŸ˜‰)

Thanks to Simone for a great night, wonderful "slushies" and letting Dean And Wendy tag along with us so we wouldn't feel weird!

This page was done for The Paper Teapot May challenge, which was to be inspired by this photo

And I used Bella Blvd Make our Mark collection available here, a Cuts2luv flair, and The Cut Shoppe cut file.

Have a go at this one - there's lots to inspire from this photo!

Explore

I really love this photo Shiloh took of Patch, and I knew when I saw it I wanted this page to look quite graphic. The only exception is the Charm Creation Heart and cat.

This was made for the Scrap Our Stash May Tic Tac Toe challenge...

I used the left column - Journal card, Yellow and 4+ patterned papers. I love these acrylic words from Bella Boulevard!

Lucky to have good friends

These photos were taken at one of our favourite playgrounds on Shiloh's birthday. She's had the same friends since she was little and I think they will always be her besties 😁

This page was for the Scrap Our Stash January sketch challenge -

You also must include something starting with each letter from G-O-A-L-S, my list is
G - Geotag (love these by Charm Creations!)
O - Orange
A - Arrows and Amy Tangerine
L - Letter stickers and layers
S - Stickers, stencil

I bought one sheet of this orange Bella Blvd paper and the stickers, and couldn't wait to use it as it's so bright and lovely! Apart from that there's a Cocoa Vanilla flair, and some Amy Tan stickers. The background was done with Tim Holtz Distress crayons and Prima light paste.

Thanks for the look!
